Government Consultation on Diagnosis waiting times for Adults and Children.

In 2015, the NAS launched its Autism Diagnosis Crisis campaign, calling for action on diagnosis waiting times. That led to the Department of Health agreeing diagnosis waiting times as one of its data priorities. Now, NHS Digital is consulting on one of the changes that will make measuring waiting times a possibility.
The change would mean that services would record someone who has been referred to them for an assessment but hasn’t had a diagnosis yet. This would be for children and adults.
Please help by completing the survey for the consultation. You don’t need to get into the technical detail (this is quite a technical proposal), but your personal experiences and why you think measuring diagnosis waiting times is important will be very useful.
