A seminar for parents, carers and professionals on TRANSITION TO ADULT LIFE for young people with SEN
Tuesday February 9th 10am to 2.30 pm
Cost: Parents and Carers only £10 including lunch.

Transition to adult life at 18 for young people with SEN and disabilities requires good planning. This seminar will cover:
-The Mental Capacity Act – understanding how decisions can be made by and for young people.
-What assessments will be undertaken to establish whether services will be funded?
-Who will fund services – social services, the NHS or both?
-What information and evidence should be included in the assessments?
-Further Education – how do the new Education Health and Care Plans link in the process?
-Managing challenging behaviour in adult life
