The UK General Election is happening in May. We want to make sure autism is a priority for every candidate looking to get elected . Terri Johnston, one of our local members, is supporting the NAS’ I’m One campaign by arranging to meet with candidates hoping to become the next MP for Huntingdonshire. The first of her meetings is with Dr Nik Johnson who is the Labour candidate and will take place in Huntingdon on the 19th March.
Terri is holding these meetings to raise awareness of autism and tell her story about the experiences of her and her family. She would like other people who live in the constituency, which includes St Neots, Huntingdon, Alconbury and St Ives, to join in the meeting with her.
If you are a person with autism or a parent/carer of someone with autism and would like to tell your story and ensure that the people seeking to become your next MP understand more about autism, please get in touch with Terri at: email@example.com
and she will send you further details.
