Green paper: No voice unheard, no right ignored

National consultation closes May 29 2015

New Government proposals, published in March, aimed at giving people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions more rights around the care they receive. People affected by learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues and their families are asked to read the plan and feedback their views by May 29.

The paper sets out a range of possible ideas aimed at bringing:

  • more rights for people with disabilities
  • more person-centred care
  • inclusion and independence in the community
  • improved accountability and responsibility.
