About the seminar:
“Understanding Autism” is one of the Autism Seminars for Families which provides Information and advice to parents and carers off children aged up to 11 who have received a recent diagnosis of autism.
The seminar will help families to:
- Develop an understanding of autism
- Discuss experiences of getting a diagnosis
- Identify how autism can affect families
- Explore practical ideas for developing communication strategies
- Clarify support that families may be entitled to and ways to access it.
Families can book one place on the seminar, but if there are spare places nearer to the day, these can be offered to partners, other family members or carers. You will receive a full resource pack of useful information, advice and support guidelines.
Light refreshments will be provided, but please bring your own lunch.
This seminar is delivered jointly by Cambridgeshire Parent Partnership Service, providing SEND Information, Advice and Support in Cambridgeshire, and Autism Anglia, using materials bought from the National Autistic Society. There is no charge to parents/carers.
