Members of the Cambridge NAS Branch Committee attended the Chris Packhams’s Bioblitz Event at the National Trust Wicken Fen on Sunday 22 July. The Bioblitz is an effort to audit biodiversity in 2018 in order to create a benchmark that will help measure the rise and fall in numbers of different species in the future. Chris Packham is a broadcaster and naturalist (appearing on BBCs Springwatch). He is autistic and has recently become a patron of the NAS. The Committee members talked to members of the public and also to Chris when he visited the Bioblitz on Sunday afternoon.
